SOE recently announced a time locked progression server to be launched in mid January.No doubt alot of classic Everquest fans will be resubbing for this! If you want a more permanent solution i would advise everyone to go check out http://www.eqclassic.org , although not finished yet their project to bring back a truly classic Everquest (Everquest+Kunark and Velious).
If you can't wait for either of those there are a few available options, either http://www.project1999.org/ an already up and running emulated classic Everquest server. Or http://www.eqmac.com/ , the mac version of Everquest that never got more expansions after Shadows of Luclin!
